My research is interdisciplinary, incorporating interpersonal communication, mass communications, sociology and information systems. My teaching pedagogy is a student-centered approach that draws from my experiences as both a media artist and an instructional designer having utilized both pedagogical and androgogical principles. My teaching style promotes critical thinking, emphasizes collaborative learning, and encourages tolerance for both intellectual and social diversity. Most importantly, I strive to teach students to proactively engage and create content instead of being passive consumers of information.
